Your opportunity

The Mission Australia Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Service is a person-centred residential program in Darwin, NT. The service provides day and therapeutic services and programs for people with alcohol and other drug addictions including volatile substance misuse, while addressing the impact of that substance misuse on people's mental health and wellbeing. We provide a safe and supportive residential setting with intensive client-centred inventions combined with a 12 week therapeutic program with the aim to facilitate change for individuals, and ensure that change can be sustained after reintegration into their communities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead and inspire your team of coordinators, support workers and AOD case managers to deliver a program that meets the needs of our client group and ensures we deliver contract outcomes
  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement, Quality Program requirements and maintaining accreditation
  • Mentor and develop your direct team
  • Develop and work with the team to deliver tailored Individual Recovery Plans for clients
  • Rostering of staff and financial management of the service to meet program management budgets and authorising expenditure
  • Provide support to our clients to improve their primary health care
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to allow referral of clients to After Care Services
  • Complete required reports in a timely manner

Requirements for success

  • Experience in leading and managing a service delivery team in an AoD rehabilitation setting
  • Ideally a degree or qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements
  • Proven ability to develop and work in collaborative partnerships with other professionals and organisations in the community
  • Experience in budget and financial management
