Your Opportunity

We have an opportunity for you to be a part of an extraordinary team of people who are on a mission to end homelessness in a generation. The Constellation Project is a collaboration of organisations and individuals that share a vision of ending homelessness and hope to achieve this by combining our knowledge, resources, networks and influence we accelerate practical solutions to improve outcomes for individuals.

We're looking for someone who has experience in Project Coordination and who has a lived experience of homelessness as you will be able to provide greater insights and deliver end to end inclusion in the areas of recruitment, management and communication with participants. We are offering a 12 month fixed term contract, working on a part time basis of 3 days per week. Constellation works primarily as a virtual team  and is spread across locations in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Location in one of these cities may make some face to face work feasible, but the role is not location dependent.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Build and Maintain relationships with lived experience participants
  • Provide briefing, support & follow up to participants who are engaged
  • Conduct regular reviews of the Paid Participation Policy
  • Develop resources to support inclusion including documents to describe our approach
  • Draft volunteer or student intern assignments that match team resourcing needs
  • Assist in the management of communications for the project, including shared inbox triage and drafting communications to the network
  • Schedule project and reference group meetings and take minutes or actions
  • Other activities as required based on the progress of individual solutions


Requirements for Success

  • Lived experience of homelessness
  • Excellent project management, coordination and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex needs to share their opinions and inform specific projects
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently and as part of a small, driven team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of first nations culture
  • Self-awareness, ability to manage stress and have an established processes for self-care
