Mission Australia is a non-denominational Christian charity that has been helping vulnerable Australians move towards independence for more than 160 years.
Every day we support people nationwide by combatting homelessness, assisting disadvantaged families and children, addressing mental health issues, fighting substance dependencies and much more. We are generously supported by our funders, partners and tens of thousands of everyday Australians, who make the work of our tireless volunteers and staff possible.
Mission Australia is committed to keeping children and young people safe with zero tolerance of harm or abuse, and expect all our employees and volunteers to reflect this commitment.
Mission Australia is looking to engage a GP for our Aged care facility in Surry Hills and Redfern to support the consumers across our services and with payment via Medicare and Bulk Billing for the service provided.
Our Residential Aged care facilities helps vulnerable older Australians age with dignity. We provide essential care and support to vulnerable older people in our communities who are at risk of homelessness.
Everyone deserves to age with dignity but in Australia, one in six people experiencing homelessness are over 55 years. Many older people are at risk of homelessness due to unexpected life events, financial instability, elder abuse or disability and illnesses.
Mission Australia takes a long-term and preventative approach to homelessness among older people by providing a safe and sustainable housing solution. We also help vulnerable older people who are currently homeless or living in sub-standard accommodation.
We have 3 services Annie Green Court Redfern Sydney, Charles Chambers Court Surry Hills and Benjamin Short Grove Spring Creek Orange.
