Your Opportunity

Located in Batemans Bay, you will be working within the Opportunity Pathways program both in the office and off site completing outreach. This program assists individuals over the age of 17 who are tenants or on the wait list for social housing and are seeking assistance to work towards their training, employment and/or housing independence goals.

You will be assisting participants to gain, increase or retain employment, by accessing supports and practical assistance, and participating in activities, training and work opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide outreach to clients off site with a pooled vehicle
  • Assist the client in daily activities such as attending an appointments
  • Work with the client to overcome their individual barriers to employment
  • Drive positive changes by role modelling life and job skills
  • Enhance the clients quality of life by using a holistic approach to their health
  • Encourage and support participants to positively exit social housing or Rent Choice subsidies to full housing independence, to reduce their reliance on government assistance

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant experience in Disability employment services (DES), Job Active OR;
  • Experience in similar Case Management
  • Current NSW Driver’s License
  • Ability to work to program standards and establish appropriate relationships
  • Exposure to working with clients in social housing is desirable

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check if you haven’t completed one in the last 12 months.

In addition, there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check or apply if you do not already hold one. It is unlawful for prohibited persons to apply for work with children, and, as such, prohibited persons cannot apply for this role.
