    Your Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced and strategic Service Operations Manager to lead the IT Service Operations team deliver services that meet the operational needs of Mission Australia and to maintain operational service levels whilst staying abreast of emerging technologies.

    In this varied position, you will embrace and champion change in the areas of telecommunications, security, cloud infrastructure and networks and be responsible for managing the team, processes, technologies, vendors and activities.

    Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, your key responsibilities will be to:

    • Ensure all infrastructure, network, telecommunications and applications are maintained within agreed SLAs
    • Provide strong vision and leadership and actively monitor team performance and develop capability
    • Promote and foster a strong solutions focused and customer-oriented culture
    • Ensure IT operations are aligned with business requirements for performance, availability, stability and security
    • Manage physical and logical security policies and procedures are operating effectively
    • Ensure the Cloud infrastructure is managed effectively both from an efficiency and cost perspective
    • Ensure movement to modern workspace and alignment to new emerging technologies is maintained within agreed levels
    • Develop, manage and analyse budgets and reports and provide strategies to address budgetary changes/variances
    • Manage key vendors, in conjunction with the CIO to ensure services are delivered well

    Requirements for Success

    • Relevant academic qualifications (technical and/or business related)
    • Strong operational leadership experience with deep knowledge of ITIL and other methodologies
    • Sound financial acumen and experience in vendor management, including contract negotiations
    • Action oriented and accountable to achieve results in line with set time-frames
    • Ability to initiate and implement change, influence and collaborate with others effectively 
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to actively listen and present information and decisions well
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the capability to work through complexity and ambiguity with confidence
