About the role

Due to an internal promotion we have an exciting newly opportunity that has been generated for a Program Support officer at Roma House Spring Hill. Working regular business house of 8.30am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday you will be the face and voice for all visitors and calls coming in to Roma house.

Roma House offers residents with complex and challenging needs support and accommodation in an inclusive environment and provides a pathway out of homelessness. The service operates 24X7 and accommodates up to 31 residents in this historic Spring Hill location.

Duties

  • Attend to the front door entrance ensuring visitors are screened and connected with the relevant staff or client.
  • Answer the phones and direct calls for the service
  • Assist in managing the front office and reception area including booking meeting rooms and coordination of parking.
  • General administration duties such as updating data, filing, sending emails and processing invoices.
  • Log and escalate critical incidents that may occur with the service.
  • Liaise with a large variety of stakeholders including clients, police, ambulance, health and government bodies.

 

Qualifications & experience

  • A minimum qualification of Diploma in Administration, Community services, or Business disciplines.   
  • Relevant experience in a similar role working in Customer service and administration.
  • Prior experience in working in Community services with a complex client group such as Homelessness, AOD, or Mental health.
  • The ability to positively communicate with our residents that may at times have complex and challenging behaviours
  • Sound Computer skills in MS Office

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National criminal history check.
