Your Opportunity

Junaa Buwa - Centre for Youth Well-being (CYWB) provides a safe place for change for young people who are clients of Juvenile Justice and whose established use of alcohol and other drugs places them at risk of significant harm. We assist by providing holistic residential rehabilitation and treatment for 12 weeks followed by aftercare for 3 months.

Work as part of a dynamic team providing holistic case management support to Juvenile Justice clients aged 13 - 18 from across NSW in our residential rehab service in Coffs Harbour. (A copy of the position description is provided below).

Your key responsibilities will to:

  • Provide youth-friendly support for all program participants, including goal setting, informal counselling and referrals to other community agencies as required
  • Manage all aspects of client-focussed casework plan delivery, including assessments, evaluations, and client advocacy
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with service providers whereby enhancing client outcomes
  • Maintain accurate client information records and other associated administrative tasks with the Program Manager, e.g., medication management, audits, and statistical analysis review
  • Complete timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports
  • Collaboratively address issues facing clients

Requirements for Success

  • University Degree holder or a relevant Associate Diploma or certificate with relevant experience or other appropriate qualification/experience acceptable to Mission Australia.
  • Alternatively possesses experience attained through previous experience at Mission Australia and/or study of an equivalent level of expertise.
  • Has a sound understanding of Mission Australia’s Values and Code of Conduct and applies these in their role when interacting with other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain sustainable internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver single stream training programs under the direction of a senior employee.

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
