Your Opportunity

Disability Management Services (DMS) assists job seekers with disability, injury or a health condition, assistance in finding a job and support keeping a job. Disability Employment Solutions (DES) assists employers to hire staff with an injury, disability or health condition.

DES provides employers with ongoing assistance, training & support and access to a range of other support services including wage subsidies & financial assistance to help cover costs such as modifying the workplace or purchasing adaptive technologies or interpreting services.

Mission Australia is one of the largest providers of government-funded employment programs. We help people to overcome the barriers that might prevent them from finding - and keeping - work.

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will promote Mission Australia’s Disability Employment Service (DES) within the local community and to businesses within the local area.

You will collaborate with community organisations, government agencies and other providers, to attract potential Job Seeker referrals to our program.

We are looking for a strong sales/business development professional who has excellent networking skills and isn’t afraid to door knock.

Be a part of a small knit team, that provides ongoing support to their clients and builds successful relationships with their local community.

Your Role will be to:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and influencers in the local community
  • Participate in community networking events, expos and forums
  • Design and coordinate events to increase the profile of Mission Australia DMS
  • Deliver one on one and group information sessions to prospective participants and stakeholders
  • Management of local marketing material for the promotion of the service
  • General administration and reporting

Qualifications & experience

  • Knowledge / and or experience in Disability Employment Services, Employment Services or Job-Active
  • Previous experience within salesor  community engagement
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • A proven track record of meeting KPI’s
  • Current Drivers’ License

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
