Your Opportunity

Opportunity Pathways Program is a new voluntary initiative launching across NSW in 2019 supporting social housing clients as a stepping stone while they gain economic independence for their lives. The program will encourage and facilitate education, training and employment pathways empowering our clients and improving their health and wellbeing. 

We are seeking a passionate Case Manager to join this new program. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your current knowledge and experience working with the community assisting and empowering our social housing clients with education, employment and support they need to achieve their goals.

  • Building strong relationships with our social housing clients and encouraging engagement in the community
  • Work alongside our clients to encourage and facilitate their connections in community support organisations, employment services, and training
  • Create and update individual client records to track and monitor progress
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including family/supports of consumers, service partners and government agencies;
  • Assist in the promotion and awareness of the Opportunity Pathways program and its involvement within the local community.

Requirements for success

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, welfare or other related disciplines and/or equivalent experience are highly regarded;
  • Understanding of the complexity of working with clients in social housing and disadvantage
  • Knowledge of the employment services, training and education industries would be an advantage.
  • A high level of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Skills in liaising, negotiating and advocating for our community
  • Experience in collaborating with and creating external partnerships
  • Valid driver’s License.

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check. In addition, there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check or apply if you do not already hold one.
