Your Opportunity

Opportunity Pathways Program is a new voluntary initiative launching across NSW in 2019 supporting social housing clients as a stepping stone while they gain economic independence for their lives. The program will encourage and facilitate education, training and employment pathways empowering our clients and improving their health and wellbeing.  

This role is responsible for providing leadership for a small team of 3 FTE Community Services staff to ensure we deliver a high quality of service in the program.   This is a key leadership role to effectively promote the service across the community and develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.    

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver a program that meets the needs of our client group and ensures we deliver contract outcomes
  • Mentor and develop your direct reports
  • Financial management including management of Program budgets and authorising expenditure.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the service including TAFE, key employers and community groups.
  • Provide guidance and expertise for the program in areas including the employment market, employment services industry and training and education programs.

Position Requirements

  • Experience in leading and managing a service delivery team in the community sector.
  • A degree or qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements
  • Proven ability to develop and work in collaborative partnerships with other professionals and organisations in the community
  • Experience in budget and financial management 
  • Ideally previous experience in working in the social housing sector

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check. In addition, there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check or apply if you do not already hold one.
