Your Opportunity

The Intensive Family Support program aims to support the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children in families with multiple and complex needs. The service provides a wide range of flexible, tailored support services.

This role is responsible for providing expert case practice advice to staff in the management of clients with multiple and complex needs.  You will lead a team of 17 FTE’s and ensure you develop a team to deliver high quality and contractually compliant services to clients in a local community.   This is a key leadership role to effectively promote the service at a range of forums and developing collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.    

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver the specialised program requirements to our clients, whilst maintaining procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate leadership of your team and develop your direct reports
  • Financial management including management of Program budgets and authorising expenditure.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders for the service.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in relation to escalated, highly sensitive cases and challenging issues.

Position Requirements

  • Experience in leading and managing a large and complex service delivery team.
  • A degree or qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or other relevant field; with expert knowledge and understanding of Child Protection legislation and child protective concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements
  • Proven ability to develop and work in collaborative partnerships with other professionals and organisations
  • Experience in budget and financial management 
  • Demonstrated crisis management skills

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
