About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a strong educator to step up in responsibility into the role of Assistant Centre Manager in the team at our Early Learning Centre in Woodbury Park.  In this role, you will work as part of a team but also assist the centre manager in leading the team to provide quality early education and care for children whilst also providing holistic care for children and their families.

 The role is suited for an enthusiastic educator who will not only be managing the floor but also assist in providing administrative support to the Centre manager (Updating Kronos, Pays etc). You will predominantly be working in the Nursery or Toddler room and be expected to do both open and close shifts (6am to 6 pm) on a set roster.


  • Child Support – actively engage and develop a nurturing environment for all children
  • Family Support - build strong relationships with parents to ensure open communication
  • Program Support – contribute to play based learning and education program for children
  • Team Support – pro-actively participate in all activities and communications with wider team
  • Child Protection – identify, respond and document any child protection risks as required

Qualifications & experience

  • Proven ability and enthusiasm to learn how to successfully lead a team in a child care centre
  • Current qualifications in Children's Services
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check Ochre Card
  • Demonstrated ability to remain vigilant in ensuring the care of all children is maintained
  • Commitment to ensuring centre is compliant as per Health, Safety and Welfare requirements
  • A genuine passion and drive in providing children with the best possible start in life
  • A strong alignment to Mission Australia's purpose and values
  • Previous experience in using Kronos and basic administrative functions.

As part of our employment screening process you will be required to undertake a national criminal history check.  In addition, there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children Check or apply if you do not already hold one.
