Program Managers – Expressions of Interest

To be suitable for these positions you will hold a Degree in Psychology, Social Work or equivalent and at least three years’ experience in a Mental Health and/ or Prevention Setting.

About the Programs/Role

Mission Australia is excited to commence the roll out of a new Integrated Mental Health Service in the Pilbara, with staff based in Karratha, South Hedland, Newman and Tom Price. The service will support clients with case management, counselling and group work in an integrated, stepped care model that ensures people suffering from mental illness have a holistic wrap around service to support their needs and keep them engaged in services and the community.

The three roles we have available are:

Karratha

Program Manager – Assessment and Intake

South Hedland

Program Manager – Suicide Prevention

Program Manager/Clinical Psychologist – Mental Health 

Duties

  • Provide supervision to the local team in the delivery of program requirements
  • Contribute to the on-going development and improvement of the service
  • Provide direct provision of case work, counselling and group work facilitation to clients as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other key internal and external stakeholders
  • Offer training and development to staff
  • Contribute to staff performance discussions and development planning
  • Support the Area Manager in promoting the services in the Pilbara region

Qualifications & experience

  • Relevant degree or qualification – Degree in Psychology, Social Work or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision of a service delivery team
  • Demonstrated experience in providing case work, counselling and group work and/ or experience in developing and implementing health prevention strategies to clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes, on time
  • Experience in budget and financial management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current WA Drivers’ License
